Who is Lee Luka?
Lea White, electrifyingly known as Lee Luka in the music industry, was born in Johannesburg and grew up in the vibrant town of Sasolburg. Music has always been her heartbeat, with cherished childhood memories of her mother playing the organ, creating unforgettable family sing-alongs.
Lee’s show-stopping stage debut came at the tender age of 10 at Leeuwspruit Primary School, where she dazzled her friends with an array of performances, from singing to cracking jokes. It was then she knew entertainment was her calling. Her first album dropped when she was just 11, propelling her into a whirlwind of performances across South Africa, where she consistently triumphed in vocal competitions.
Her sophomore album, “Ride on the Wind,” released in 1998, featured her hit singles “Eensaamheid,” penned at age 11, “Body to Body,” and “Kom Nader aan My,” which soared to number one on various Belgian radio stations. Lee’s talent was further recognized in 2003 when she joined a renowned multi-cultural performance company, touring South Africa. By 2006, Lee had taken her act international, also venturing into acting with appearances in global TV commercials.
After returning to South Africa in 2011, Lee dedicated her time to her family and established a Vocal Training Centre, sharing her passion by training choirs and students. Since 2017, she has poured her heart into the training centre and songwriting.
Now, more than ever, Lee Luka is poised to re-enter the entertainment scene with unmatched fervour. Her original single “By My” is set to take the market by storm in April. Lee Luka is ready to plant her soul back where it belongs: in the world of music and entertainment!
Lee Luka is gebore in Johannesburg Gauteng. Sy kon sing voor sy kon praat en het op die ouderdom van drie jaar saam haar ouers verhuis na Sasolburg in die Vrystaat. Daar het sy in haar laarskool jare op die ouderdom van elf besef die verhoog is hoekom sy geskape is. Sy het met ‘n onverwagse vertoning kennis gemaak met die euforie wat aplous en vermaak in ‘n kunstenaar se hart skep.
Op die verhoog van haar Laerskool: Leeuspruit Primêre skool. Lee was dadelik mal oor die gevoel.
So het Lee van jongs af harte bekoor met haar stem en unieke verhoogs persoonlikhied. Nie net nationaal nie maar internationaal waar van haar musiek groot hoogtes in die Belgiese musiek bedryf behaal het.
Lee het oral oor Suid Afrika op getree en toe die geleentheid homself voordoen om haar loopbaan internasionaal uit te brei, het Lee gedurende 2006 internasionale verhoë betree asook die televisie en advertensie industrie.
Met haar terugkeer na Suid-Afrika het Lee haar tyd meer gefokus op haar gesin. Sedertdien was sy vir ses jaar as afrigter betrokke by skoolkore en het ook ‘n vokale afrigtingsentrum begin. Sy skryf ook graag haar eie musiek.
